Summerwood model home village growing again
From March 7th to April 30th, 2011, visitors to Summerwood will
receive a free $15 gift card
for registering at the Summerwood New Home Information Center,
located in the middle of a Model Home Village showcasing decorated
model homes priced from the $120,000s to $400,000s in this wooded
master-planned community.
This gift card is offered to celebrate the opening of the Sam
Houston Tollway Northeast, which makes Summerwood's location at the
tollway and W. Lake Houston Parkway even easier to reach from
Downtown Houston. Also in celebration of the tollway opening,
homebuyers purchasing new homes in Summerwood between March 7th and
April 30th will receive a $500
gift card.
The Summerwood New Home Information Center has
details on the community's 1,500-acre master plan, which includes
200 acres of recreational amenities and open space, onsite Humble
Independent School District schools, and onsite shopping including
the new H-E-B Summerwood Market.
Visitors can preview the newest addition to the Model Home Village
- an MStreet Homes model planned to open next week. This model will
showcase MStreet homes priced from the $160,000s to
$190,000s and ranging from 1,897to 2,355 square feet.
Already open is Village Builders' Van Gogh model, featuring a
two-story foyer with a spiral staircase, and two downstairs
bedrooms, including the master suite and a guest suite with a full
bath. This five-bedroom home has a gameroom with a computer desk, a
media room, and a covered veranda.
Next is the Kent model by Partners In Building, a two-story
plan with 3,688 square feet. This four-bedroom home is different
from most in that the gameroom is located downstairs, next to the
open family room and kitchen combination. The upstairs media room
offers another entertainment area.
Next door, J. Patrick Homes showcases its 1-½ story Dartmouth
II model, with 4,393 square feet. This four-bedroom, four-bath
home has a master bath with an island tub and a walk-in shower.
Open to the kitchen, the family room has a cast stone fireplace.
Upstairs, this plan has a gameroom with a built-in desk, and a
media room with theater-style seating.
Lennar's Topaz model has a split staircase
providing access to upstairs from the two-story foyer and from the
island kitchen. Other highlights include a two-story family room
overlooking a covered wraparound patio, a front porch, and a study.
This four-bedroom home has a downstairs master suite along with an
upstairs flex room that can be an extra bedroom or gameroom.
Next door, Lennar's Cottonwood model showcases its Highland
Collection. Featuring a stone exterior, the two-story Cottonwood
has four bedrooms, including a downstairs master suite. This
2,433-square-foot design also has a formal dining room, a family
room with a corner fireplace, and an upstairs gameroom.
Westin's model, the Barcelona, features a grand
rotunda foyer with a spiral staircase and a catwalk overlooking the
two-story family room. With over 3,000 square feet, the Barcelona
has three bay windows across the back of the home, enhancing views
to the backyard. This plan also includes a formal dining room and
an upstairs gameroom.
Brighton's model, the Bromley, has five
bedrooms, 3-1/2 baths, and a two-story family room. This
3,823-square-foot home also has formal living and dining rooms, and
an upstairs gameroom that can be built as a sixth bedroom.
Summerwood also features model homes in two additional model home
parks. One showcases low-maintenance townhomes priced from the $120,000s by
Brighton.
Another model park displays David Weekley Homes priced from the $140,000s,
as represented by its Barker model. With over 2,100 square feet,
this cottage-style home has formal living and dining rooms, and a
family room that is open to a kitchen with an oversized island. The
children's retreat can be built as an optional fourth bedroom, and
the plan offers an optional upstairs bonus room.
To visit Summerwood, take U.S. 59 North to the Sam Houston Tollway
Northeast, then take the tollway to the W. Lake Houston Parkway and
